I am looking for more information on how to use hivemq-sparkplug-influxdb-extension using the free Hivemq cloud.

HiveMQ Cloud free/PayG cluster does not offer this extension. With HiveMQ cloud Dedicated cluster, you can install and configure this extension(or more extensions). To find out all details of the offer and pricing detail at: HiveMQ Cloud - Free Fully Managed MQTT Platform .
