HiveMQ Edge - Publishing all values, not just changed values

Hello,

I’m testing HMQ Edge with a connection to a MODBUS server.

HMQE is polling 30 modbus addresses and publishing all under a single MQTT topic to my HMQ Cloud cluster. I have the protocal adapter setting to “only publish changes since last poll” turned on.

The problem is that when only a single modbus address value changes, ALL of the other address values are republished regardless.

Hello @pridesleap,

Thank you for reaching out and sharing your experience with HiveMQ Edge. I understand how it can be frustrating when the system doesn’t behave as expected.

This feature, where only changed values are published, should indeed be implemented in HiveMQ Edge. Since some time has passed since your initial query, it’s possible that updates or fixes have been applied.

Could you please test it again and verify if the issue still persists? If you continue to experience the same problem, please let us know, and we’ll investigate further to assist you in resolving it.

Thank you for your patience and understanding.

Best regards,
Dasha from the HiveMQ Team
