Is redudancy over fail over or clustering supported in hivemq edge commercial version? If not please provide information on how high avialability is maintained? Any links or docs related to this will be highly appreciated.
Hi Lakshay,
Thank you for reaching out with your inquiry.
HiveMQ Edge is designed as a lightweight MQTT gateway for edge computing and does not support clustering or built-in redundancy features, even in its commercial version. To achieve high availability, we recommend implementing MQTT bridging to connect multiple HiveMQ Edge instances to an upstream enterprise MQTT broker, such as the HiveMQ Broker. This setup ensures continuous data flow and redundancy by allowing multiple edge instances to forward messages to a central broker.
For detailed guidance on configuring MQTT bridges and ensuring high availability with HiveMQ Edge, please refer to our official documentation: HiveMQ Edge MQTT Bridges :: HiveMQ Documentation
I hope this information proves helpful.
Best regards,
Dasha from HiveMQ Team
