Logging with HiveMQ Cloud

Hi team,

I am looking into HiveMQ Cloud to see if it is possible to edit and view the logback.xml file as described in the documentation. At the very least, I would like to be able to see the logs with the Cloud instance, but I have been unable to locate any documentation or possible lead where those would be if they are available.

Thank you in advance for any help!

Hello @cdoyle

Thank you for contacting us, and welcome to the HiveMQ community forum.

Could you kindly confirm which HiveMQ Cloud cluster you are using? Please note that customizing the logback.xml file is only possible with the HiveMQ Cloud Enterprise Cluster.

For any further questions or assistance, we recommend creating a support ticket through your HiveMQ Cloud console account using the Support widget.

Currently I am using the Serverless option. I am assuming the logs are unavailable when using this version of Cloud?

Thank you, you have answered my follow up questions already, but I will keep support in mind.

Hi cdoyle,

Thank you for reaching out. I appreciate your question about logging with our Serverless option. Indeed, logs are available for Professional and Enterprise customers, but not with our Serverless tier.

If you need to check logs, please provide us with the exact timeframe and CLIENT ID, and we’ll be happy to assist you further. Create the request though the HiveMQ Cloud console, so all info you share is kept private: How to : Create a ticket to HiveMQ Cloud Support Team | Loom

If you have any more questions or if there’s anything else we can help you with, please don’t hesitate to let us know. We’re here to support you.

Best regards,
Dasha from the HiveMQ Team
