Any known issues between HiveMQ on-prem & Crowdstrike?

Hi there, we are installing HiveMQ on-premise on a virtual machine that also has crowdstrike falcon installed - anyone know if there are any known issues/interactions between HiveMQ and falcon, other than the normal expectation that AV’s may interfere with certain running processes, especially during installation?

While there are no widely known compatibility issues between HiveMQ Community Edition and CrowdStrike Falcon, security software can sometimes interfere with application processes. To ensure a smooth installation and operation, we recommend the following steps:

  • Whitelist HiveMQ – Add HiveMQ’s installation directory, logs, and data directories to Falcon’s allowlist.
  • Check Process & Network Logs – Review Falcon’s logs to see if any HiveMQ-related processes or connections are being blocked or throttled.
  • Monitor Performance – If you experience increased CPU or memory usage, check if Falcon’s real-time scanning is affecting HiveMQ’s operation.
  • Temporarily Disable for Testing – If issues persist, consider temporarily disabling Falcon to determine if it is the cause.
