Hello
Does HiveMQ Edge support ModBus Write Commands?
If so - available in open source or commerical offering?
If not - can it be developed via plugins?
Any discussion on basically write commands on the soutbound connectors would be great.
TIA
Extra:
Unable to join the community slack - how to do so? on webpage say need a @hivemq email account.
HiveMQ Edge is currently not bi-directional and does not provide command-and-control functionality. This means modbus read via protocol adapter → MQTT is supported, but modbus write commands (southbound control) are not supported at this time.
This applies to both the open source a well as the commercial edition.
The commercial version adds features like Data Hub, Offline Buffering, K8s support, and Southbound capability infrastructure — but command-and-control (write-back to fieldbus devices) is not currently available.
