# OCPP Driver Support

Has anyone implemented, or is aware of, a HiveMQ Edge implementation where it was communicating with an OCPP network? Im looking for a solution that directly connects to HMQ Edge via a driver and not an intermediate protocal converter.

Hi @pridesleap, it’s great to see you here. We’re always happy to support new users learning about MQTT and HiveMQ.

HiveMQ Edge does not have occp adapter. You can implement your own (in Java). The [HiveMQ Edge protocol adapter SDK](https://github.com/hivemq/hivemq-edge-adapter-sdk) ([Java Doc](https://javadoc.io/doc/com.hivemq/hivemq-edge-adapter-sdk/latest/index.html)) can be utilized to implement a custom protocol adapter. Hello Dasha, thanks for the response. I’m afraid I don’t know how to program in Java. I’ll have to look for another solution.
