# Multiple projects on one broker

Hi. I have a basic question regarding message broker. So we have multiple customers/projects using MQTT communication. How should I handle this regarding the message broker. Should I create a message broker for each individual project or should I connect all devices (comming from multiple projects/customers) to the same message broker?

First I would like to welcome you to our HiveMQ community! To your question: it is up to you, whether to have a single instance or a cluster of brokers. Please note that clustering is available with HiveMQ Professional and Enterprise, not available in the Community Edition.
